COUNSELING FOR FAMILIES

Families are the core of our interpersonal relationships. The importance of a healthy family dynamic can never be overstated. As a foundation for our children, providing a safe, supportive and loving environment is essential for their growth to adulthood. For most parents, it is the most important thing we will ever do, and we want to do it right! The reality is; it's not always an easy task. Conflicts between parents and children, sibling rivalries, and challenges of everyday life can disrupt the harmony we strive for.

We first assess the current family dynamics to pinpoint challenges and conflict. Next, we personalize a counseling strategy designed to improve communication, help to set boundaries, grow mutual respect, and build the bond of trust. Children with school or social issues may benefit with the support of family counseling helping to realize the importance of a foundational family that is there to support them when they are feeling isolated and afraid.

Single parents, divorced families & blended families benefit from family counseling and our programs are designed to the unique challenges of each.

TEENS & ADOLESCENTS

Navigating through the challenges of adolescence and becoming a teenager, can be stressful and confusing. Peer pressure, identity, self-esteem, self-expression, and the struggle for independence are issues many need help with. Counseling provides a safe and non-judgmental environment for exploration and clarity in a non-threatening environment.

Our Child & Teen Counseling Focuses On:

• Developing self-esteem

• Managing peer pressure

• Isolation and belonging

• Anxiety

• Depression

• Dealing with parents and siblings

• Sexual morality

• Other topics specific to each couple's situation

For Christian families, we use biblical standards, backed by scripture, when counseling families, adolescents, and teens.
